Comments: Wow! I have been in a tequila slumber for a while. I hadn't found much that was remarkable enough to get my creative juices going to bother reviewing, but this changed that. Technically this is not a Tequila. It is made from a different (undomesticated) variety of agave. So it is technically a Mescal, but it not anything like you would imagine. With the help of the the classically trained and Euro-experienced Master Distiller Jose Daumas, the "wild" plant creates a more complex palate of tastes than any tequila I have ever had. It has a smooth sophisticated taste that kept me thinking " I can't wait to try that again". So if you think you are a serious Tequila drinker and looking for something different then you need to try this. If you are not a tequila drinker and think of your selves as more of a Cognac drinker (sophisticated) then this is a part of Mexico you need to experience. This was not a paid review. This is an independent site. Check Sotol at www.sotol.com.

Overall Rating: 5 stars

Best Use: Slow Sipping next to a warm fire.

Tip of the month- Save money for better tequila, by buying cheaper limes.
