Tequila of the Month

Brand: Milagro                              Name: Anejo Single Cask         Date: Sep/2002

Type: Anejo                                   Aging Process: White Oak

Distillation:                                   Price (shot or bottle):  $40/bottle

Color: Light yellow and clear

Aroma: Full agave smell

First Taste: Some bite, smooth finish

Body: Unremarkable

After Taste: Moderate Agave taste.

Smoothness: Okay for limited sipping, best with a beer back.

Comments: Produced at the distillery in San Isidro (where many other tequilas are produced). Good quality for the price, but the lack of the personal touch shows. Tolerable enough for sipping if you don't do it all night long. Tends to get worse as the night goes on instead of better. Enough agave smell that you know you are still drinking tequila. Marketed as a single cask, doesn't measure up to the others that get the extra attention that should go with a "Single Cask" marker.

Overall Rating: 3 stars

Best Use: Okay for sipping. Inexpensive enough for Margs

Tip of the month- I support the right, but I am leaning, leaning to the left- Eric Clapton
